The center provides person-centered, solution-focused therapy grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. We focus on goal-oriented psychotherapy that is a practical approach to problem-solving. Our goal is to support you in changing patterns of thinking or behavior that may be behind your difficulties. Each individual has the capacity to learn new skills that can help you manage your life. It is our professional opinion that it does not take a lifetime of therapy to accomplish your identified goals.

More Than 25 Years of Experience
Ivy League (Columbia University, MPH) Educated Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Therapist in Danbury, CT
I am a highly-skilled and trained professional therapist, providing therapy for adults and adolescents who experience depression, general anxiety, social and performance anxiety, marital/couple difficulties, trauma, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, attention deficit disorder, addiction (including opiates), binge-eating behaviors, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
A breast cancer survivor and a parent of children with attention deficit disorder, I am keenly aware of how physical illness can profoundly affect mental well-being. I can provide positive and knowledgeable support for adults navigating these issues.
It has been my professional experience that support groups are a valuable supplement to individual therapy. I currently provide a wellness support group for a diverse group of women with wide-ranging support needs.

Kate is the most intelligent, intuitive, original, and genuine mental health professional with whom I’ve interacted. She quickly and naturally understands others and is open-minded toward the patient’s experiences and decisions, whatever they may be. She does not pass personal judgement but makes clear whether a decision will help or hurt one’s journey toward their goal, so it is easy to share with her. I would recommend Kate to anyone; she’s hard not to get along with. Kaleigh Constantine
Kate is bright, kind and always willing to help find solutions to difficult situations that you may be contending with in your life. I very much look forward to my office sessions with her. She never ceases to brighten my day! I love the fact that she thinks outside the box! I highly recommend Kate!! Sarah Croteau
Amazing individual, extremely bright, while able to connect with you on a personal level, with sincerity and empathy. Most importantly, Kate can provide solutions to help you progress as an individual. Couldn’t think of a better person to refer someone to for any problems you encounter in your walk of life.
