I am particularly skilled in motivational interviewing, an approach used with people that suffer from addiction disorders. This technique helps people resolve their ambivalence to change and move to the “action” stage. Once in the action stage individuals are taught skills to help manage and maintain their sobriety.
Additionally, I am the parent of two thriving children diagnosed with ADHD. I can help parents navigate the school accommodation process and learn skills to effectively help them manage children with Attention Deficit Disorders. I teach techniques to children such as mindfulness and regulation skills to assist them to manage their symptoms.
